An urban legend (from the pen of the late Tannie Magriet of the Baviaanskloof). This is Roelf's well in the Baviaanskloof. Dug by a man desperately in love to convince his woman to stay. He finaly found water at 17 meters in a dry and unforgiven landscape. The water then pushed up for 11 meters. If a man can do this for love, one can do anything to conquer the world.
