A windy warm Friday on the last day of our water year in the valley.
May you find the fortune at the end of your rainbow this weekend.

Louwrens Bezuidenhout, thank you for a magnificent photo!

During the past 30 years, Gamtoos Water has left a footprint accross the Eastern Cape interms of the involvement in poverty relief programmes. This photo was taken by Jonathan Snyders of Second Beach in Port St Johns. He and Edwill visited Lusikisiki in Pondoland this week. The force of water. A week or so back, an airvalve strap came loose in Loerie. It was a spectacular scene. Large volumes of water are lost during incidents such as these. We do our best to attend to leaks as a matter of urgency. Gamtoos Water
We have experienced an abnormal dry spell during the past six months. Since July last year until end of January only 143.5mm of rain fell in the Patensie region. During 2024 for the same period it was 258.30mm. Farming is a challenge to commercial and emerging farmers during times of below average rainfall. Our commercial farmers recognise the challenge of our small stock farmers and recently donated much needed fodder to them.
